WOMENS 3RD XI - 30/11/2025 VS IPSWICH-EAST SUFFOLK 1 (A) TEAM: Womens 3rd XI DATE: 30/11/2025 FIXTURE: Womens 3rd XI VS 30/11/2025 HEADLINE: So close again! LEAGUE: EAST DIVISION 2 NORTH EAST VENUE: Ipswich RESULT:1-0 loss REPORT:It was a cold, crisp afternoon for Norwich City 3’s long trek down to Ipswich, but despite a strong team performance, the visitors were edged out 1–0 by IES after a first-half goal proved decisive. IES struck early, but from that moment on Norwich City dominated large spells of the match. Jo was outstanding in goal, pulling off a string of superb saves to keep her team firmly in the contest. At the back, the defensive unit of Lottie S, Leigh-Ann, Emma and Alice were rock-solid throughout. Their calm distribution and well timed tackles helped Norwich consistently regain control and build from deep. In midfield, Marie, Lottie H and Chloe were relentless, driving the ball forward, breaking up play, and bossing the centre of the pitch. Norwich were unlucky to see Lottie H shown a card, especially in a match where IES often played with more physicality that went unpunished. Up front, Vicky and Izzy covered every inch of the pitch, their energy and work rate making a huge difference to Norwich’s tempo. Hollie, Helen and Lola created multiple scoring opportunities, repeatedly finding space and testing the IES defence, but a strong performance from the home goalkeeper denied them the goal they fully deserved. In truth, Norwich City 3 played the better hockey for much of the match and were unlucky not to come away with at least a point, if not all three. The effort, teamwork and quality on display were clear, and the performance gives plenty of encouragement for the matches ahead 🏑💚💛🏑💚💛

WOMENS 3RD XI - 29/11/2025 VS EAST COAST 1 (H) TEAM: Womens 3rd XI DATE: 29/11/2025 FIXTURE: Womens 3rd XI VS 29/11/2025 HEADLINE: Another close match LEAGUE: EAST DIVISION 2 NORTH EAST VENUE: Taverham RESULT: 2-0 loss Report: Norwich City Womens 3s battled valiantly in a hard-fought 2–0 defeat to East Coast Womens 1s, a match that showcased determination, teamwork, and flashes of real quality despite the final scoreline. From the first whistle, City’s midfield trio set the tempo, moving fluidly through transitions and linking play with composure. Hannah, making her debut in the centre attacking midfield role, slotted in seamlessly, showing confidence on the ball and intelligent positioning throughout. Captain Helen and Hollie led by example, driving forward with ferocious attacking intent and repeatedly challenging the East Coast back line. With support from Lola and Jen running tirelessly down the wide channels. Despite City’s efforts, East Coast proved difficult to break down, remaining solid at the back and relying on direct long balls that frequently tested our defensive structure. City’s goalkeeper rose to the challenge brilliantly, producing a string of excellent saves that kept the match level deep into the second half. Alice had an excellent game of distribution and outletting down the wings or transferring across the pitch to our seasonal debut Emma who met the games tempo with skilled defending. City’s forwards pressed consistently with opportunities from Megan and created promising moments, but East Coast capitalised late, scoring two back-post tap-ins after sustained pressure. Though the result didn’t favour Norwich City Womens 3s, the performance showed resilience, cohesion, and signs of growth. With continued teamwork and the same fighting spirit, the squad will surely bounce back stronger in the next week’s fixture.
