WOMENS 4TH XI - 25/10/2025 VS CARROW 1 (A) TEAM: Womens 4th XI DATE: 25/10/2025 FIXTURE: Womens 4th XI VS 25/10/2025 HEADLINE: L4 v Carrow Match Report – Saturday 25th October Venue: Loddon Result: 2–2 vs Carrow 1s Pushback: 11:30 It’s always a good game against Carrow, and this one was no exception – a proper tale of two halves. On what can only be described as the world’s slowest pitch, the ball seemed to stop dead every few feet, meaning we had to run a lot further than usual just to keep things moving. It took us a while to find our rhythm in the cold and blustery conditions, but once we settled, the play started to flow. We took the lead midway through the first half thanks to a sharp finish from Georgina, who put away a really well-worked team move. Carrow levelled soon after with a looping effort that spun like the earth itself before painfully rolling slowly over the line. After regrouping at half-time, we came out with real intent – moving the ball faster, linking up beautifully and showing plenty of fight. Within three minutes, Vicky had us back in front with a tidy finish to make it 2–1. For the next fifteen minutes, we dominated possession and looked the stronger side but couldn’t quite trouble the keeper enough to steal the win. Carrow then threw everything forward, winning a string of short corners, and eventually managed to sweep one home after a scramble in the D. A 2–2 draw felt frustrating after such a strong team performance, but there was plenty to take home from the game – determination, teamwork and some lovely passages of play. We’ll be ready to make that home advantage count in the return fixture.
