WOMENS 3RD XI - 27/09/2025 VS LODDON 1 (H) TEAM: Womens 3rd XI DATE: 27/09/2025 FIXTURE: Womens 3rd XI VS 27/09/2025 HEADLINE: Close match for City 3s vs Loddon LEAGUE: EAST DIVISION 2 NORTH EAST VENUE: Taverham RESULT: Lost 3-4 REPORT:It was a tough game yesterday at home against a strong Loddon 1s side. From the beginning we matched their intensity. We fought hard, goals coming from Hollie, Mollae, and Helen, each finishing with composure after excellent build-up play through midfield. The link-up passing created chances throughout the match, another 10 minutes and a draw was definitely achievable. Loddon are known for being both physical and well-drilled and they lived up to that reputation. Our defence faced constant pressure from their main striker, but we stayed composed, making tackles and interceptions to keep us in the game. Our midfield worked to close down space, and our forwards didn’t stop putting on pressure until the end. Even though the result didn’t go our way, our teamwork and positive energy were clear for everyone watching. There are lots of positives to carry into next week and for our next Loddon fixture, our resilience and determination showing, a great start to this season. Well done everyone 💛💚

WOMENS 3RD XI - 20/09/2025 VS IPSWICH 3 (A) TEAM: Womens 3rd XI DATE: 20/09/2025 FIXTURE: Womens 3rd XI VS 20/09/2025 HEADLINE: Winning start for 3s LEAGUE: EAST DIVISION 2 NORTH EAST VENUE: RESULT:2-0 win REPORT:match report: What a start to the season! The dream team was out and in Helen’s words “playing like we were in a cup final”! We started as we meant to go on, creating lots of brilliant chances (including a fairly clear goal…) and dominated possession all the way through the first half. A brilliant goal came from a lovely build up from the whole team and was very very well deserved to end the first half with spirits high. Fuelled on some super tasty oranges we didn’t drop the intensity at all in the second half and got the goal to show for it, bringing the score to 2-0. A strong fight to the end kept their goals out and we secured an amazing win - well done everyone and let’s keep the undefeated streak going!
