Taverham Recreation Facility (TRF) is one of the latest Floodlit Synthetic sports playing surfaces to be created in the Norwich area located at Beech Avenue Taverham.  It is used by Taverham High School during the week up until 6pm, who use it for year round sports lessons as well as competitive league matches with many other schools. At weekends and evenings it is used by two of Norfolk's largest Hockey clubs, Norwich City and Broadland who have a combined total of Twenty Two Mens and Ladies teams. On other weekday nights it is used by Local Football clubs for training as well as an Independent School. Teams come from all over Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and beyond to play sport at this venue. Norwich Citys national success in reaching the semi finals of the Hockey Association Trophy saw visitors come from all over the UK. Both clubs have a very successful and active Boys and Girls youth policy with currently Eight players representing the Eastern Region, One reaching under 16 England level. As you can see there is an incredible opportunity here for you to increase your company profile and recognition, whilst helping the local community to improve its facilities for a popular and growing sport. We are a limited company and a registered charity, set up by Norwich City and Broadland Hockey clubs to build and operate the new sports and recreational facilities at Taverham and develop the site to achieve its full potential in the very near future. WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SPONSORSHIP ? We have completed phase one and built a premier playing surface complete with floodlights, fencing and spectator seating. At a cost of £275,000.00 which opened in October 1995. Phase two is to build a clubhouse with a bar, social function and changing rooms along with facilities for Taverham High School activities. Phase three is to build a second artificial pitch with floodlights, fencing and seating to create one of the best equipped, modern sporting clubs in the region. Planning and financing of these exciting projects are well under way along with consultations with Local Authorities, Parish council, Sports council and District councils in an effort to identify the sporting needs of the local area and incorporate their needs into the plan. WHATS IN IT FOR YOU ? Initially we are offering high quality, colour advertising boards around the perimeter of the pitch for you to put your company name and message of your choice, across to thousands of potential customers all year round improving your recognition and profile in the locality of Norfolk and beyond. (Prices are detailed later). Both clubs also produce their own team fixture booklets, which are sent to every club member (juniors, ladies and men) at the start of every season. These have plenty of good advertising space available for a nominal fee. We also provide an excellent opportunity for companies to promote themselves by sponsoring shirts and/or tracksuits of individual club teams or the entire 22 mens, ladies and junior teams.
